Is anyone on here incorporating any of the big bass style jointed swimbaits such as bullshads, deps 175/250, and stuff of the like into their musky game? I´ve recently been making a bit of a collection in hopes of using them in the colder months of the year for musky.

Yeah. I got a small collection. If your looking to add to your collection I highly recommend Savage gears Mag Shine. For the price you get an incredible looking jointed glide bait. You can make that thing glide with just the reel if you want, or a standard medium retrieve looks great to. Regardless of how you bring it in, when the joint articulates it knocks audibly hard which I'm sure is a plus.

The 8" savage gear that looks like. Sardine is good. There is a cheap one that looks like an open mouth trout with a hard top fin that works very well. Loud rattle great side to side. eBay, Amazon has them. Even the bass pro one is decent but works slower. What I find is they all work but the ones that work best can be darted side to side fast. Some can't and are very slow to react to twitches.

I have the 7.25¨ one and it helicopters like crazy, definitely prevents bomb casts

They like to follow them. I've had plenty of follows on the Deps 250, can't seem to trigger bites from muskies though. Great for Stripers.

Huh,I don't have an issue with the 9".
And Ninja the trigger for me tends to be- working it like a glide with some slow straight retrieves incorporated, and than hastily jerk and burn it for about 10feet and long pause.
I either get hit during the "sprint" or as soon as forward motion starts after the pause But yes alot of follows even from pike for me too.

UPDATE: had a 40”+ tiger swing and miss the Deps 175, then it followed two more times… it’s but a matter of time
