Hey Canadian friends!  What are you paying for gas in town and at the marinas these days? (Asking for a friend. ??)

Yup. And you could buy a house for $18,000 and a new car for $800. Of course an electrical engineer made $9,000.00 a year, and interest rates were in the teens. Everything is relative. I do miss the wipe your windshield and check the air in your tires thing, though. Also, never getting out of the car was nice.

And the average vehicle back then got about half the miles per gallon as today's vehicle. Bought a new Ford half ton van right before I got out of the Army in 1973, 302 engine. Best highway mileage I got was around 13 mpg and it was a bare van.

in 1980, drove a '76 F250 4WD, with a 360 under the hood, and a six inch lift kit. Geared really low. 10 mpg was about the best I could hope for, while paying $1.29 per gallon, and grossing $300/wk.

That said, I'd really like to know what folks are having to fork over for gas in Ontario..

Looking up gas prices is pretty easy online, they are at an all time high in Ontario, $6-7 per gallon, I’m sure higher at resorts.. probably time to cancel trips, ah?

$5.99 US per US gallon in Kenora right now, all time high.

People in NW Ontario more concerned about high water though than high gas prices, with 440 properties evacuated affecting several hundred people in the Kenora area.

Will be record levels and unlikely to change for months given inflows greater than outflows now and into the foreseeable future. Lac Seul, English in the same realm as well.
