Hey all.

I have have been fishing out of the same boat since i bought it in 1987, a 680T that I absolutely love.

Do to family needs, I need to switch to a single console rig.

I would love some input on what may fish similarly to the 680T. I like fishing skinny water as well as lakes with unimproved launches, so I am hoping for something similar size wise.

I have looked but really don't see anything in glass made today.

Any ideas you could share?

Thanks!

You could find one with a console. That would also have a bigger motor which most boats with one most likely would(guessing your motor is 40-60hp). Do you want to stay with glass or is aluminum an option?

Well I was hoping for glass for the dry storage and the nicer feel of glass. Trying to get a new boat that I will keep another 20+ years. I have the green light for a new boat so I have to act!:)

Figure out your budget then look at comparable deep v glass boats. Not a ton of brands out there so your search shouldn't be too hard.

Not the answer you want but.......find a used Ranger 681 same boat as yours basically only with a console. Tear the motor off replace with a new motor. Get all new electronics and trolling motor. My biggest regret was selling my 1998 681VS.
