Wondering if it is normal for two different graphs to have different temp readings. I replaced a small Lowrance with no temp reading on my bow with a Humminbird Helix Mega when I upgraded to an Ulterra. Watching the temps carefully given how quickly waters are warming both yesterday and today. I noticed the Lowrance HDS back by the tiller is a little over 3 degrees warmer than what the Humminbird reads off the Ulterra.
I am guessing the transducer on the Ulterra is close to a foot deeper in the water than the Lowrance transducer, which is even with the bottom of the Pro V. Is that kind of difference common? No big deal, just curious.

On a side note, it is unreal how quickly water is warming again today. In little over two hours, went up almost 4 degrees.

12 to 18 inch depth difference could definitely equate to 2 to 3 degree temp. difference, especially near the surface.

This. Had 80 degrees last night on TM transducer and 83.9 on the transom.

Thanks, that is what I thought. Still seems crazy that the river today, after half an inch of rain last night would still be 83-84, but there it was.

I have a couple birds and they are like 0.2 different, and a lowrance that's about 1.0 but my garmin is another 1.0 higher yet. I don't think it's depth related I think it's just the resistor isn't the best technique to get temp, but it really doesn't matter as it's all relative warmer/cooler areas. Not 71 vs 72

I've never used Lowrance sonars, but the Helix units have a "temperature offset" if you want to go through the bother of finding an accurate thermometer, and take a reading next to the transducer.

Select "Advanced User Mode" (or Custom"), Setup>Temperature Offset, and adjust as needed.
