| Does anyone with this boat know if you can take the caps off of the rod tubes to fit longer than 8’ rods? Thanks, JoeP |

| I have this boat. The mid storage rod tubes are at the 8 ft limit. The port ones are about the same. I use the Starboard tubes to transport longer rods. There are only two tubes but you can double up the storage to four rods if you store two rods in each tube. I updated the tie down strap too accomodate the extra rods.

| Thanks, I heard that you should be able to remove the caps to fit longer rods. Curious if anyone has tried . |

| I took out the caps. I think I gained about 6 in. |

Location: Vilas County, WI | Caps on which tubes - the middle rod locker? And what year Impact?
I have the 2017 model, single console. I can fit 8' rods in the port locker (no tubes).
On the starboard side I have another locker for 8'.
Also on the starboard, above the locker, I have external tubes, 3 of them, by the console. However these are above the locker so obviously not lockable. The external tubes can accommodate 9'6" or 10'.
My middle locker can only take up to 7'6" on the top row I believe; 7' on the bottom. (I think).
So are you speaking of removing those middle rod locker caps to make it an 8' capacity?

| It’s a 2021. I’d like to make both the center rod box and the port tubes able to fit 8’6 rods. |
