After seeing this reel mentioned on the Budget reels thread and some comments that it had performed well, especially for the price point I checked the Pscifun website and see that this reel comes in two versions, a 5.9 to 1 and 8.1 to 1; each with options for R or L handed and with double paddle or Power handles.

For those who have tried this reel, can you share what model and what handle set up you have and any opinions and recommendations based on your experience?

Thank you,
Talmooner

5.9 to one. Tried both handles and both are good, every once in a very rare while the power handle model engages during the cast.

5.9:1 with the double paddle. It's a good all around speed, with good cranking power. I don't care for the jigging style power handles. The 8.1:1 at 36" IPT is on the fast side, but will eventually pick one up this season with a double paddle to try out.

Cedar and Mr. Worrrall,

Thanks for the input. I think I'll give the 5.9 with the double paddles a shot
Appreciate the input.
