The 8'6'' Fenwick. Been using it as my Jerk bait rod.

ya that one is a xtra heavy
but not that stiff compared to other companies X heavy
not my first choice for a jerk bait rod but others would say it's just fine
I use a the 9'-0" version of that rod for swim baits don't seem to have any trouble staying hooked up with fish
keep casting you just had some bad luck

Check out the net holder setup Mike Keyes has in his boat for holding his net for solo use. Smart idea.

Can you point me in the right direction to look at that setup? This has been a major problem for me... I'd really appreciate it.

You can see it in his episodes this season but I believe he makes reference to it in episode 7. He doesn't show how to make it but it's a narrow triangle that the nets sits in and can be easily taken out of.

Thank you! Wasnt in episode 7 so I watched a couple more to spot it this week end. Still havent spotted it but I'll post it when I find the specific episode.
