Looking for a livescope mounting system compatible with the following use cases:

Casting: forward or perspective mode, able to scan both sides of the boat preferably. Currently I fish out of back of the boat 95% of the time - would prefer to stay that way if possible. Can forward shoot across the boat without problems?

Trolling: forward mode, scan behind the boat or off to side. Able to go 5-6 mph without issue.

Vertical jigging: down mode. Shouldn't be issue with any mount.

Suckers: all 3 modes - perspective in shallow water, forward most of the time, down in some cases when deep. Be able to point back or off to side of the boat. Pointing forward in perspective mode could be helpful too.

Is there a clamp-on mount compatible with all of these use cases? I don't mind if I have to move it around per use - say transom some of the time and off side some other times. Reasonably quick stowability is a plus.

I had my live scope for a full season last year. Hands-down best mount is from brew city trolling motors. Also just got a transducer mount from fishfinders.com that takes a little rigging however fits inside brew city Mount nice aluminum mount awesome set up will also give you perspective mode very easily with a solid hold.

In my opinion mounting it on the trolling motor shaft is kind of useless. Went fishing the shoreline I can aim the transducer towards the shoreline and still use the trolling motor going forward. Message me if you’d like any further details.

I have a full season on my Traxtech mount and am happy with the construction of it. Though I'm currently trying to fit an axle bearing onto it, for less friction when turning it. When the boat is moving, they all have a lot of stress/ friction on them, buy the sturdiest one you can find.

I use my ultrex shaft, no issue for me personally.

But this probably is my second choice. Lots of good first hand reviews on another website I use. https://www.thelivescanner.com/

I would be very skeptical of some of these at 5-6 mph. I have seen the fishing specialists mount at 5 mph and it works, but be sure to get the aluminum bracket and components. Cisco makes their track mount. Nothing plastic will hold solid at 5 mph. Cheap mounts will flex to the point that the angle changes and not read how you want it to.

Thanks everyone for suggestions.

I ended up going with the Brew City CT360, rail mount style with a spare so I can use up front or in rear. Installation was pretty easy and so far it seems to work good, but I haven't used it for muskie fishing yet. Notes:

- Tried driving 3-4 mph, seems stable enough.
- Very stable when up driving.
- Mounting mechanism makes it easy quickly move to different mounting location or store.
- Goes deep enough to shoot across the boat. Depth can be adjusted for shallow water as well.

Looking forward to trying it out during the muskie season. My first impression is perspective mode will be a major game changer. The other modes seem harder to use, but maybe their utility will become apparent after more time.

I’ve got the brew city trolling motor Livescope Pole mount with a summit transducer mount attached. Don’t know if any mold can take over 5 mph. Varsity one comes the closest used it for about a year now, great molds 30 able to be moved in multiple places in the boat. All three modes work great.

Can you post a link to some of these items? I might be misinterpreting the text, but I can't seem to find info on a "varsity" or "great molds" livescope mount.

Summit transducer mount: this one? https://summitfishingequipment.com/collections/transducer-mounts/pro...
Varsity: ?
Great Molds 30: ?

FYI, in this month's Musky Hunter, Kevin Cochran has an article about his livescope mount. It uses a Traxtech base but there are some non-standard details to the components and setup. The article talks about searching for fish up to 8 mph.
