Hello, new here on the forum. Was curious if there was any first hand info as to last years activity on potato lake, and the island lake chain. I have been out of the musky fishing realm for several years , due to moving from Wisconsin to Montana. Have a trip planned in june to head back. Any info would be helpful thanks.

The Island chain has stopped stocking muskies in all except Chain Lake for 10-15 years now. DNR told me 10 yrs ago that was the plan going forward as of then. I have heard Potato has slowed compared to decades past. There are other options in that area.

never fished them, but here's the most recent DNR survey (2016) for Island; https://p.widencdn.net/trrpms/North_RuskIslandChain2016FEFNSN1SE2
