Any truth to the idea that increasing terble hook size on big rubber to 7/0 or 8/0's will give you a better hook up ratio?

What bait specifically? Depends on the hook separation. I do prefer the biggest hook the bait can handle.

it's been around. Read it on another forum.. but a lot of baits I buy still have small hooks.

I'd say big baits for sure... Bulldawgs, big rubber, big paddle tails like swimming dawgs.. but also big glide baits too. I know on the glide baits the hook size will effect buoyancy but out side of that has anyone increased hook up rates using larger hooks.
