have an assortment of rubber baits that have bounced around a bit over the years and are kind of covered in a dirty residue. thoughts on the best way to clean them up?

Ill be the first to chime in and give the standard response of "throw them in the lake and wash them there". Honestly I wouldn't worry about it. 100% of the fish that the muskies eat don't look pristine and bright so just makes your baits look more natural.

Best i have found is to rub them in some foodgrade oil like cornoil, and then wash them with soap.

I pour plastics here and there. I use a worm oil to wipe down dirty plastics. Cleans them up pretty well.

WD , would probably work fine!

A little bit of Dawn dish soap in hot water works really well.
