First off ill say im the luckiest guy there is because im only a few short days away from picking up a brand new Skeeter that i bought with my girlfriend. Its a Skeeter MX1825 with a 150 Yamaha 2 Helix 9 with ipilot Link on the trolling motor. What im wondering is there any good advice i can get with this boat being ive never had a toy this nice nor have i ever had a boat that had power trim or any of the many other bells and whistles it has. What im looking for is operating advice and advice on how to take care of my toy. Thanks

Get some orange cones and take yourself & girlfriend to the school parking lot. Teach both of you how to back the trailer up. During the week (slow fishing times) go to the local lake and learn how to launch and retrieve the boat. It can be a very quick and easy process with a bit of practice.

Congrats and enjoy the new rig!

Change the oil on time, vacuum it often and wax it up good. Otherwise let her rip without hitting rocks

Great boat I've had mine since 2012. Look into " boat to trailer " best thing I bought for my boat. Helps with loading and unloading.

I have a '14 MX 1825. LOVE it! Get a couple bottles of slick mist http://lucasslickmist.com/index.html and some microfiber towels. Every time you pull her out of the water, wipe her down. That way she'll stay looking new.

One thought on launching alone. Do not trust your parking brake. Even with it engaged your rig can slide backwards on a ramp. I always chock the front driver’s side tire when I get out to launch or load my boat solo. Too many videos of trucks/cars and trailers being pulled out of the water with the rear wheels locked and sliding. Ramps can be slick as ice even in the summer
