Hey guys my grandpa, dad, and I are heading up to wabigoon for a week of musky fishing July 13-20. I was just curious if anyone had any info they'd like to share with us! Baits, locations, areas to try/avoid, anything and everything would be appreciated. We will be staying at bonny bay camp as well. Thanks in advance, been counting down the days for a couple months now!

Find cabbage find fish. Blades, blades, blades, and maybe a topwater or two. Spinner baits will work through the thicker weeds. Work over areas very well. Lots of fish are caught by casting the same spot 10 times, the 11th time out they come.

Buy some chocolate milk and get used to looking into it trying to see a fish ahead of time so you’re prepared when you get up there.

Your staying at great !!! camp and good timing on dates.
Just see Len and he will mark you a few spots to get you going.
I am heading there this Friday myself.

Link from In-fisherman on Wabigoon they cover quite well as to what works.

Cast tight to the shore, cabbage, and especially to any rocks and weeds together. Fish are hard to see, especially if there's a chop on the water, so figure 8 often and longer than normal.

Been known to mark maps for folks headed there, drop me one with a self addressed envelope and I'll send it back full of notes. Address in the contact us section here.
