i really hope a smart guy will shut down chicago chanel for good. great lake and st-lawrence represent multi-billions fishery that could be destroyed if too much of that junk escaped . a giant one have been already caught in the st-lawrence.
dnr were surprised of his size and health. i do not know which way they can use to spread at north west but it don't smell good for the future at all. i hope ill not live long enough to see that trash jumping all around st-lawrence

If they have found a few, there's tens of thousands they haven't found yet. We've had them here, in numbers, for about the last 15 years or so. To say they have been anything short of a nightmare is an understatement....

"Frohnauer noted that while the DNR continues to be very concerned about the potential impacts of invasive carp in Minnesota waters, individual adult fish captures do not indicate reproduction or an established population of invasive carp in the Mississippi River or elsewhere in the state."

I'm going with "Houston we have a problem"

one of the rare pros is that a lot of states will reintroduced gator gar to fight carp. but we all know it will not do any significant change but it is really nice to see these fish back were they were 100000000 years ago. top of the line predator are not the hungry pig we can imagine. lm bass are a lot more voracious than gar and musky. but once carp pass the 2 feet they cannot do anything .gar yes. best of luck

Yea, I am sure the MN DNR will just keep wasting time / money checking for weeds on the St Croix, pay no attention to that man behind the green curtain for the last 10 years or so ...... I digress

1. Offer up a bounty of $.50/pound
2. Sell the fish to Purina or whomever for $1/pound
3. Problem solved.

Check u tube for videos on how good they are to eat. Apprently easy to catch and no limits. That should appeal to some anglers.
