How does someone get a new baker from Zack aside from at shows? I don’t see a way to order them.

I’m unwilling to pay the insane prices people want for them second hand.

If you don't want to spend the money, use something else, Its the same here in Europe, where the Hand made wooden wolfcreek, and wooden Zwartsonker have become insanely expensive compared to what they used to be. And honestly catch as much on other stuff as i did one the wolfcreeks gliders.

Too much stock gets put on single makers, plenty of Baker alternatives tuff shads started to make wood ones again, boss shads, ect ect. Lures get too much credit in this sport. It’s the fisherman doing the work. Nothing against any single person but that’s how I see it.

In part that’s a very true statement, I mostly just really like his style on the Goldie paint job.

I'm glad you see my humor , I do agree sometimes pricing on custom baits does get out of control ,but bakers can still be found for $60-70 on ebay which isn't the worse considering some other custom cranks are going for as much as $700+

anyway these lures are far to be magic . paying that much money for a flat bait is just ridiculous.doing that shape take less than 10 min. and it is not even true wire ........... like nathan thold tuffshad are made out of wood again , that will caught you lots of fish if you know how to troll. it'S kind of strange because many guys guys are buying them at show just to sell them at ebay personally i would never sell a lure that is shinning more than the others.

I've been using Zach' baits for 8yrs now. Best of the best IMO. You can contact him by phone . His number is on his bussiness cards.

I run Bakers tuff shad boss shads chad shads br baits Dk baits etc. I will tell you all baits will catch fish but Bakers Flat put fish in the net. Had a Run last summer running 6 rods baker 5" on 1 of the 6 rods...that rod was hit 7 of 10 fish in that span. 3 weeks ago we bagged 5 fish in 15 hours. 1 hit alley cat 1 hit boss shad other 3 hit same 5" baker. I love the bakers have had the 7.5 crushed as well many times

I had 2 and dragged them a fair amount of time for a season before they got stupid expensive with no production. Sold em for a decent profit. Wish I had a pile of them to sell now. Good and pretty baits, Just didnt do much for me. There has never has been or ever will be a " magic "bait.

If we all lose faith that there is a magic lure what will the bait builders do? What will the stock market do when people quit spending? Geez, will we need smaller boats with less stuff to carry? What about Just In Case.....will they build a single compartment box? No, me thinks before we scuttle the magic lure idea it should be tossed to the basement for a extensive discussion.

must be the waters I catch fish on fecs boss shads alley cats bagleys lynhums dks BRs gastons they all catch fish. But for whatever reason in my waters we run 6 lines usually 1-2 bakers out and then 4-5 of above stated lures. Bakers catch about 3-1 or 4-1 fish in our boat. So if you catch 3-4 on a baker for every 1 you catch on something else must be something they like about that lure and its not color because all different pattern bakers get smashed. Im like bakers but have no association and don't have ton of them..Maybe 12-15 bakers total and out of them 6 prop still new haven't been run yet because just got this spring the rest have teeth marks

IMO BAKERS ROCK!! They out fish Boss Shad, Tuffs and anything else we run next to them in MY boat. I've fished them for 8yrs now and they have broke the "50"in mark 3 times so far on inland lakes. NOT St. Clair. Also we've lost track of the 45in+ ones Bakers have put in the boat. These are 1000 to 3500 acre lakes we fish. They've produced both casting and trolling. Thanks Zach!!

I was able to find someone willing to sell me a 7.5” Goldie for what retail was a few years ago so I scooped it up.
