Another coat of epoxy will cover up almost anything. I kinda think they look better scratched up, unless maybe it’s for display.

If you want a thin coat of epoxy on the bait epoxies can be thinned down using Actone. A small amount added to epoxy ( I add it by dipping the brush in the Acetone and stirring the epoxy with the wet brush as often as needed for the thickness desired) will reduce it down as thin as water. Easy to paint on any surface. Also I use steel wool on the whole bait to ensure adhesion of the epoxy.
