I share an equal like for bass and musky fishing and it got me to thinking. Flippin' is a very successful technique for bass in thick, usually shallow cover. There is no reason this same technique shouldn't work for muskies in the same type of cover. Rods and line are heavy enough. Has anybody tried it?

Yup, slop guys and jig guys are basically doing that. I've gotten pretty good at skipping small baits too. Mostly under trees though.

Yep, Sight fishing ski's is Very Popular in the spring. Usually with a jig/ Creature. Lots of guys like a Good Stand- up Jig,W/ a paddle tail Creature, + W/ Cork in the tail for better appearance and ease of grabbing Presentation! JD

Yes and it works. There was an article in Musky Hunter 6+ years ago on this topic.

Flippin fer bass and gettin harrassed by muskies is what got me hooked back in the day. I'm not sayin i'm old but..

One of the guys on the mega panel at the show in Toronto last weekend were talking about this. I think it was James Lindner and Jeremy Smith. They were big on the concept.
