Has anybody used a guide on Turtle Flambeau and who do you recommend?

Brian Long would be a great choice. Nice guy and really knows the area!

Jerkbait Guide Service. They own Flambeau Flowage Sports in Mercer and he knows the Flowage very well.

I have fished with two of the three mentioned above but the guide who helped me the most on the TFF has been Dale Anderson. (Mercer, Muskies and more)

jerry "jerkbait"hartigan knows that lake the best. Him and his brother have been fishing musky there before most these other guys were alive.

I can't speak for the other guides mentioned here but I have fished 4 times with John K. from Lake X lures and he is an outstanding Musky guide. I have a hard time seeing someone working harder to put you on fish and he is an outstanding outdoorsman and conservationist. I did not fish on the Turtle with him but we did fish Trude. (dont miss this lake if you are up there)

Not sure of your master plan but commiting yourself to one lake is typically not the best idea. The fish may not be moving there and it may be a hot bite somewhere else.

I have found the single best move in fishing an unknown area with a guide is keeping your options open until game time.

If you are commited to the Turtle I will throw one other name in the hat, Jeff Robl from Bobber down guide service. He doesn't specialize in Muskie fishing, but he knows the Turtle like the back of his hand.

Good luck.
