| I've also had very good luck with Maxxis. My Shorelander came with them in the 13" size. I was going to go with the Endurance but found out they didn't make that size at the time. (Maybe they still don't?)
I was planning to buy the Endurance at a Goodyear dealer I trust but only because I wasn't sure who was a Maxxis dealer in the Twin Cities. Found out Discount Tire sells them so I went that route. |

| I needed to replace my Marathons this spring. Did an epic ton of research, and decided to go with Kenda Karrier. They are C range tires with higher load rating and speed rating. They actually ran smoother than the Marathons, and no issues, including the 12hr drive to LOTW. |

Location: midwest | I’m running Carlisle HD’s on my Ranger trailer. Three years and so far they have been good. I keep my towing speeds at 67-72 or so and make sure to check the tire pressure often. I’ve taken several trips into Canada (14 hours each way) as well as numerous trips that involve 5 hour runs each way. Wear is consistent so far and they seem to be good |

hadnt heard of those, just looked em up, they dont come in my size.. dang it.
again, think im going the maxxis route, havent heard anything bad, so i better get some before it do!

ah thanks Ernie, thats the size i need, so i think ill try these because you cant get the Endurance in 13 inch..

| Go to a 14 inch D rated tire if you can. You can get rims cheap online. Higher weight and speed ratings. You'll need a good 2.5 to 3 inches of clearance around your wheels. I trailer 17 hours to MN and wanted the extra insurance. I got Kumho 857s, but Endurance came out right as I was getting them and are rated good. Mine have around 7k on them and have been solid. I researched it and Carlisle was not good. Maxxis was Ok. I went with Kumho from a professional's recommendation. |

im going to look into going up a size as well, but i dont think i have the space around the fender to do that. if so, ill try the maxxis..

| Heres what I did go to etrailer and look at taskmaster radial trailer tires I have a 620 ranger and I wanted better tires than my old goodyear marathons. So I got Taskmasters ST215/75R14 are D rated marathons are only C rated. So far their great. I like the fact that they D rated and can hold more weight because my 620 is heavy. They are the same size as the marathons that were on my trailer so they fit with no problems. Ive had Carlisle tires and had a blow out and so has a friend so I wont get them again. The taskmasters are to be ran at 65psi my old marathons at 50psi and only rated for 65 mph were the taskmasters are rated for 81 mph. I only pull my boat at 65 mph I see all the speed demons can go by me and I chuckle when I see them on the shoulder with blow out trailer tires. |

| Sorry Dave. Haven't checked in on this thread for awhile.
I do 99% local towing. Usually just one or two trips up north a year. I've had Maxxis for 9+ years and they've been treated me very well.
Not towing over 70mph doesn't hurt either. |

| I recommend Roadstar set of 2 trailer tire + rim 13?. Really happy with this wheel and tire, nice price, nice wheel and tire and nice shipping. Be alert though that if you have an older trailer the wheel sizing may be different. I assumed that all 13" wheels with a 5 bolt 4.5 pattern would be a standard wheel type and sizing but they are not. I purchased these for my older 1972 EZLoader boat trailer. The recess of depth of the hub is different and the ring size of the hub is larger. The depth difference had the tires rubbing on the inner edge of the outside of the fender and the ring size made them harder to bolt on. |

| I am running Maxxis on my Rangertrail Trailer, with a 681 on it. Next year will be the 5th year with them without an issue. only 1 long trip to L.O.W but several 2 hour trips into the U.P.. I would buy them again, the trailer is out of the sun , except while fishing, but I would buy them again. Best of Luck. |

I have a 20' glass boat on tandem trailer, my Carlisle tires lasted 20,000 miles and were trash ( running harrowed time since 16k), I put endurance tires on 2 years ago and have about 28k on them and they are toast.
The good year endurance tires are awesome! And I Am a person who says you don't air tires up to the max, in Goodyear's website there is a chart saying psi to load per tire. My trailer calls for 50psi and while I believe that to be a bit low I ran 57psi and it worked great.
The endurance tires are good to 87 mph, and that is really important with our interstate speeds, Carlisle was 67mph this is probably why they is not survive
Since this came back up, I have since gotten my second set of Goodyear endurance tires, these have over 30k on them and are still looking good, I did rebuild my suspension with "dexter wet bolts/shackles" and wow is that nice. The shackles are 4 times as thick and the bolts are all greasable , the ride is more smooth as the factory hardware was ovaled out and would slam up and down before the springs would move. Highly recommend the wet bolts kit. My trailer must track more straight with the rebuild causing my tires to last longer. |

Location: Northern Illinois | Something I would like to add is that both tires and trailers are usually sized close to the size of the rig without allowing much room to grow. If you add a battery, a kicker, trolling motor upgrade, or all the equipment and hundreds of lures we muskie fishemen tend to bring, you may be close to overloading your tires. That is exactly what happened to my last boat, a Lund Pro V 1900. When I checked the weight of the loaded boat axle on a Cat Scale, it was actually just over the combined rating of the tires. I upgraded the wheels and tires, as well as fenders to accomodate the upgrade. I also upgraded the suspension through a local trailer repair shop. And btw, Goodyear Endurance all day. |
