Posts: 154 | I’m on big saint Germain until Saturday, it’s been a struggle so far... Could anyone give me any pointers? Should fishing pick up with this Muskie tournament ending?

Posts: 347 Location: Vilas County, WI | I haven't been out in over a week so I don't have anything too current for you. My last action was on low light topwater or blades; Plastics on deep weeds during the day. You're on the edge of tournie waters so if you go west, S/W, N/W those lakes wouldn't have had tournie anglers on them. Also, weekends are always busier around here so things will die down now for the weekdays. It has been a tougher bite than normal for me this summer. Big Saint, Lil Saint, Big Arb, Lil Arb, Sand/Dam, Lost, Found are all solid options - they just all saw more pressure than normal this weekend, plus the always present recreational traffic.

Posts: 100 | There was action to be had this weekend, but in short bursts. We also had a hard time keeping fish hooked, as did others fishing the Musky Open. Rubber off the breaks (12 to 20 fow) during the day, or topwater later.
