I'm looking to set my Ranger 681vs up with some traxstech Rails and 3 rod trees on each side of boat. Having issues finding rails to fit the narrow gunnel though. If you guys have one of these boats setup for trolling let me know what you did for your trolling setup. Thanks

They won't fit the gunwale. They are to wide. That's why I'm looking for other people's ideas with the same boat

I just have the stock ranger rails on mine with DE's on them. I don't troll much though, and i just take them off if they're in the way. I saw a guy with a 681 with a track system at a landing once, but no clue what they were. Is it possible to have them overhang one way or the other a little bit?

I suppose yes they would hang off quite a bit.. Just trying to get ideas. I have downeasters right now. But I want to run triple tree system on each side of the boat. Is it possible to mount a tree system on a Ranger rail?

Yeah that gunnel is much wider. Gunnel on the 681vs is around or less then 3 inches.. Lots of over hang.

you may need to consider rail mounts if wanting longer tracks. i have a 690 and use two small 6" trax in the corners on the rear deck for downriggers and then use folbe's on the rails rear and side-gunnel mount in front. i'm going to try to mount another traxtech track i the rear for a set of trees but would be hard to find a spot for more. curious to see what you end up doing as i'm facing a bit of the same situation ...

I will check that out, 681vs gunnels are very narrow just looking for options to mount rod holders to boat. I would really like to run 3 rod trees on each side of the boat if possible

the bolt spacing on the tracks is 1 1/2 inch for 1/4 bolts so you only need 2 inches to bolt on and put the ovehang where its less bothersome in or out i made 1/4 inch backing plate with thread +locking nuts + 5200 so very strong .

Can't get a backing plate on a Ranger 681vs no access under gunnel.
