I'm headed to Lac Vieux Desert for the very first time on Oct 18-22. If anyone has any tips/tactics for that water that they're willing to share to help me get started, it would be very much appreciated!

Big water. I'd call the Michigan DNR office in Crystal Falls and ask to speak to the head fisheries technician. I believe they survey the lake from time to time in the fall.

Fish North and South Twin near by , forget Vieux Dessert in the fall.
