Stock more muskies until it drops to 3rd or 4th best.

That should help the tourist business around the lake.

The economy there needs the diversity. Hopefully they'll see the light. Launches seem to be packed with bass boats every time I'm around. Hopefully the DNR protects it given the unbelievable pressure that's headed its way.

Bass guys are almost as much into conservation as we are, worst thing that will happen a lot will be people culling and then releasing them after a "hero picture"

The lake is awesome right now for bass and walleye. I used to only fish muskies on the lake for years. In my trips to the lake this year to fish bass I have never seen so many Muskies. Most of the fish have been mid thirty inchers to upper 40" fish. A good sign of things to come.

Goes without saying,,if your looking to start a guide service,, I'm sure there's some people who want to be taken to see it.

Yes it will see traffic. But it will still be more enjoyable to fish than Tonka. At least until the jet skis get winterized.

I've fished MIlle Lacs a few times this year. The first was on the Walleye/Northern Pike opener when my 17 year old daughter caught a 36 inch Northern Pike and I caught a fat 27 inch Walleye while fishing for Pike. The second was on the Muskie opener when I caught 12 Walleyes between 24 and 28.5 inches, but only got one Muskie to hit. I have never caught so many big Walleyes and I haven't been fishing for them. I talked to several Walleye fishermen who said they've been catching a lot of big Walleyes with a few up to 32 inches. The Pike and Muskies have not been unusually active, so it doesn't seem that the bait fish population is down. It seems like there is just a lot of Walleyes in the lake. And the DNR says there aren't any? I don't get it.
