Saw this today at the show. That thing is a freaking whoopin stick. I wouldn't be able to break that thing if I tried. Bad day at the office? Go wear yourself out chuckin pounders.

I want one.....

We took advantage of their buy 3 get 1 free on the rods and got the XXXH as our free one. Took it out and chucked pounders around the yard for a bit and this thing makes throwing pounders effortless.

What are the specs on this rod? I don't see it on TI's website.

There are no set spec on this rod. This rod was made in error but has had such a strong want to buy that James may add this to the line up. I sold a lot of these this past weekend at the MN show. It truly is a beast. James is giving it a rating of up to 2 lbs. But it might do even more. The tip on it is almost double of the XXH.

Its a beast for sure I tested the new XXXH "Super" Mega Rod all the way down to 5F using 1lb MegaDs and a 2lb Dawg. I was very impressed with the performance and feel. From the data gathered the "sweet spot is between 10oz up to and over 2lbs. This rod will also make for an excellent trolling rod and sucker setup. I was thinking of eliminating this rod from the lineup when we are sold out but after all of the testing and customer feedback we will keep this rod. It fills out a spot in our lineup that is just perfect!! Cool thing too is that we have there 9 telescopic models: 9 Camo with split grip and then all black models with either split or full grips. I really can't wait until these get going for Fall use. I bet you will see some real hogs caught on these rods this year!!

So, which one is this? It's labeled XXH, but also has a range of 8-36 oz..

just curious, as I have no plans on casting two pounders..

That is an XXH rod. We re-rated those blanks about a year ago to better reflect the lures that the rod can throw. In short, the "sweet" spot for the rods casting ability. All of our rods, including the MH (1-4oz rating) can throw pounders but they load up way too much if the rod is not rated for those lure weights..

I just ordered a XXXH 9' telescopic rod off of James. I can't wait for the Fall to start casting those 2-Pounders without feeling like the rod will break with each cast (which is how it felt when I was casting those lures with the XXH TI Rod).

I just received my "XXXH" rod in the mail today. The label says "XH," but when I handled it next to the other XH I have, it's like night and day. This "XXXH" is a Beast! Someone really screwed up on this XH, but they may have unknowingly made a masterpiece, because this sucker is in a weight class of its own.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

Does anyone know if these rods still exist? I really think it'll be the best rod for what I'm looking for.

tackle industries no longer produces it, so it isint avaialble for sale on their website.

a shop in Canada says it still has it in stock, here is the link:

https://5aught.ca/product.php?TI-9-XXXH-Full-Grip-Telescopic-Musky-R...

otherwise you can wait on the buy sale trade page or go looking on fb buy and sale pages to see if someone has one for sale.
