All set to go to LOTW next August. Any one have any experience with Delta and bringing rod tubes? I have a Plano jumbo airliner which can hold all my rods up to 8 ft. If I’m reading the baggage info correctly these are OK as long as you pay an exorbitant oversize fee.

Thanks

Went to Rowan last year and my brother and I ended up shipping our rods to and from a pack and ship in International Falls. The shop was AWESOME. Our flight was way delayed to Intl Falls and I called and offered $20 for someone to stay until we got in which was about 2 hrs after they closed and they said no problem.

I used a pvc tube to ship my rods. I want to say it was about $20 each way. I think Delta was over $100 each way.
