Heading out to the Fox River to figure out this smallie fishing thing since the water is too warm for muskies and the big lake will be too angry for my little boat to chase salmons from.

What is everyone's plan for the weekend? Fishing? Chilling? Working? Exciting trip to Home Depot with the wife?

I have a badminton tournament and Summer Beer Olympics on Saturday and might go out to chase some white bass on Sunday, barring an earth shattering hangover.

Sad weekend, have a wake to go to for my coworker who died on monday. 29 years old high blood pressure but otherwise in shape and healthy, had a stroke.

I've been chasing smallmouth, and a little musky fishing, a bit this week on Vermilion, while staying with my mom 30 minutes away. My daughter is coming up tomorrow and we will have a cabin on the east end for a week. I am now a converted musky fanatic. A 5 lb fish ripping 12 lbs of drag, and happening multiple times a day, is too fun to chase toothy critters exclusively.

That's truly awful. I'm thankful for every day.
