Call Rob Manthei at Fibber's restaurant on the lake...he will know. Better yet, go eat there first and then ask him at the bar afterward, one of my Northwoods favs for food and drink...a real anglers bar.

I wanted to go there bad but got voted out for the Whitetail Inn. Next year Ill stop in and hire him for a half day on the lake if possible.

I fished with Rob this spring, great guide, he told me about an absolute monster that was caught and kept out Big Saint last fall. I want to say it was 52 or 53. But he had a cool story about the fish. I don't want to ruin the story for him, so look him up and talk to him about the lake.

Even if he is booked, he usually will give out some information about local patterns and possible lakes to hit.
