Watching muskiehunter today was fun because I got to see my good friend and St Croix representative, Rich Belanger catching fish and explaining the TL Series presentation-specific rods. Good to see that he gets away from the muskie shows long enough to fish.
But I had to flip back and forth to watch The Worlds Greatest Fishing Show with Mark Zona. Wouldn't you know.....after landing a Green Bay Pig with Pete Mania last fall, that bass guy was out on Lake St. Claire slinging for muskies again. After watching him on the verge of tears last year, I knew he was hooked. Seeing him fishing for skis again today proves that it only takes one to hook you for life.
Zona is nuts to begin with, so he'll fit right in. But what is with Gillespies pink-hatted rock star showing up on the tube all over the place?

That episode was on awhile ago also, i caught the rerun again this morning. Zona is a dandy, i have a sneaking suspicion he is somehow related to mike iaconelli on his mothers side of the family... Maina is a guy who i could see myself getting along with..

Just watched the WGFS and man, that dude is funny. He puts together a good show entertainment wise. Too bad he doesn't do more musky shows. Tivo ROCKS!

That is Pete Maina's buddy Ryan Schram, the rockstar who does the intro for John's show and has been on with Pete quite a bit. Not sure why they like the pink hats so much.

I think that Mark Zona is the best personality when it comes to fishing programs. I'd like to spend a day or week fishing with him. He is one funny dude.
Sounds like a man-crush.
