Do these lures produce? Who here has caught fish on them?

They are great muskie lures imho. We have caught many fish on them, and big fish to 52". I do prefer the original Deer hair ones, even though the fish really shouldn't know the difference.

Which models have you caught on? XL? Lake Edition? The 18 or 19” Magnum?

I’ve caught big fish on both the regular size and the xl beavers. Great baits! I prefer the ones that have the screw in weights.

I like the Baby Beaver and the XL. The Mini Beaver (?) doesn't do it for me, and I prefer the XL to the biggest one...with the big head (Lake Addn.?). They are extremely well made, worth the price...they hold up well.. compared to rubber anyway.

I have caught fish on the baby and the lake edition. Have not used the XL or mini. Fish like them and they hook up well. They are one of my go to baits. Whether I use a baby or lake edition depends on how deep I want to fish.

I have a couple of the old original deer hair ones before the threads were even epoxied and they had the weight insert. I have caught a good number of fish on them and to this day it is the only lure I've personally witnessed two fish follow at the same time. I should throw them more...

I have thrown Beavers an multiple occasions day and night but mostly at night on cisco based systems. My partner is normally throwing a Poseidon or Swimin dawg to date the plastics have out fished the Beaver. Unfortunately the beavers also throw a lot of water in the boat - not appreciated in November.

Last year a beaver was my highest producing non bucktail bait. I throw the baby, xl, and lake edition. In my experience the baby with the heaviest weight fishes somewhat similar to the lake edition depth wise. They all catch fish, hoping to pick up one of the magnums at the minnesota show tomorrow if he has any

No wrong way to fish it, I had my dad catch one last year by doing a fast turn of the handle then a second or two pause, no rod movement. Real easy bait to fish compared to rubber

Have used XL and XL LE. I prefer the XL generally, as you can work it a bit slower and shallower, but still add weight to get down if needed. I've caught a few on them and had a number of other bites that didn't connect. Fish seem to respond very well to them.

Had lots of follows on these last season. Couldn’t get the fish to eat them. Cool action though

We have had good luck on beavers. All sizes except for the mini, I don't have any mini's. We have caught fish in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin on the beavers. I would say that my favorite is the XL beaver.

One other tip with them is I make a 3oz screw in weight with 2 1.5 oz chaos deep threat weights and a #6 or #5(can’t remember which) machine screw with a little washer on the end. Effectively turns a normal XL into a lake edition. You want to get the weights on there straight and really crank that screw down, if they get cockeyed then it can make it run weird. Just like any other bait, I keep a black, a cisco/white/silver ish color, and a gold/brown color. Covers all your bases but I still end up throwing the gold/brown one 80% of the time

Thanks for your information. I agree with the black and white colors for sure. If I could ask out of Brian's line up which brown/gold one are you using about 80% time. Thanks
