I made one myself from a 2 oz. egg sinker for the XL Beavers that stay so shallow. I hammered egg sinker to flatten a bit, screw thru existing hole with a screw from Menards, and it worked. I kind of mushroomed it and secured the screw somehow. it isn't difficult, just takes some tinkering.

Rudedog,

interesting project. Could you tell me the screw model did you use?

try the "no roll river sinkers" I have seen them up to 5 ounces. Drill a hole in the center of the weight to put the screw through.

I dont exactly recall, I may have used one from an old Phantom weight, or I purchased a brass screw with the same threads at Menards. either way. looks like I melted a little lead and secured it on top.

Now I think i would use a stainless measuring spoon as a mold and set a screw in it and pour lead around it.

The inserts for most screw in weight systems use 6-32 threads.
