Posts: 2 | Heading to Eagle Lake first week of October. Any advice for a first timer on this lake? Will be staying at AML. Also, any good places to stop along the way?(heading through International Falls) Thanks for any and all advice!

Do fish the humps for smallies a couple hours, that's a blast. Once out of Fort F, there's a couple shops along the way but nothing I make a point of stopping for. IF we shop for groceries, we usually do that in Dryden.

Posts: 8716 | The only place we stop is for gas in International Falls. It won't be a problem late in the season, but do wash the bugs off your windshield while you're there, and make sure you have enough washer fluid or this is all you will be able to see by the time you hit 17, especially if its in the late afternoon. Posts: 32784 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Just got back from AML, water temps were still 50s on the big water and high 40s South of the bridge. Muskies were everywhere, there were several boated on cranks and rubber and a couple on suckers. Frank did it again with a 40# plus fish. He got a 50 pounder last year. Gillespie and some folks from a couple other companies were up there for a few of the days I was there, they did well fishing with Danny.

Is there anywhere you can be on the lake and not hear him when he starts his hollering?

Posts: 1664 | Steve, when you were there did you get a chance to look at Gillespie's boat? Just wondering what you thought of it.
