what is the type of paint used on the reef H? it stays on along time with no clear coat, and would like to give some a touch up-ish paint

also does a clear coated reef H still "work" ok?
thanks

My clear coated reef hangs work fine. Of course, mine are weighted and modified. Just don't let it get clumpy, should still run true, maybe a bit deeper with clearcoat.

Mr JD, did you put a thick or thin coat?

i'm curious about the clear coat because i have a few RH that have never done a thing for me so i will have some experimental/ sacrificial lambs , they cannot get worst

For me, I'd suggest a fairly thin clear coat. Because of my modifications, I don't really want to throw off my weighting system.

If you do a search, and punch in reef hawg Modifications, I explain how I weight, and modify the poor running reef hawgs, to give them better and deeper side to side glide.
