Is there a way to do this? I was thinking of running the wire between two pipes held together somehow. Can't really think of any other ideas.
I bought some 174# leaders and they kinked on the first fish I caught them on. These are single strand stainless wire. Another kinked when the lure got tangled up. Kinda wack.

"A 30 foot roll of wire is less than 5 bucks. Save the snap and swivel and twist a new one."
+1 .... Once they get a good bend in them and you try to straighten them out, that 174# test is no longer that strong. I twist up 10 or so at a time and just save the hardware off the bent ones for making new ones.

The video is a nice start, but never cut the tag end, It will leave a nasty burr that can cut you whe n you take weeds off or could cut your line. Always twist the tag end to break the wire cleanly at the shaft.

Great point! I started doing that too a year or so back...
