I am planning on going to Lake St. Clair next weekend. I know we have been getting a lot of North winds lately. I was wondering if the southern part of the lake is even fishable? Any info on water clarity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The fishing has been slow due to the muddy water for over a week. It usually clears up quicker but due to the muddy water coming down the St. Clair River from Lake Huron it's taking longer. There's only about a foot of visibility on the St. CLair River as of last night. We're expecting more high winds & some rain in the middle of the week, which are supposed to last a good 3 days. Currently the south shore is chocolate milk.

I canceled my plans last week because of the water/wind conditions & I might have to cancel my planned vacations days for this coming week. I missed the fall bite last year due too the bad conditions & it's looking like that might be the case this year.

Thank you for responding to my post. That is very discouraging. I was really looking forward to getting out. I guess I will have to head in a different direction.

I live on the Detroit River and it's even difficult for me to get out on a day with good conditions this year. Very frustrating.

Fished all day on the st. Clair river saturday. Slow. Foot visibility with on and off showers and 15 mph constant winds. Fished all day and nothing.... Not even a follow.

Two of us went 4 for 4 today. One on a Royal Orba, two on a Mini Wobbler and one on an Original Bondy Bait.

Went 1/1 yesterday but it was only a 37. We didn't see a fish above 40 caught all day.
