Looking for some help, looking to add a few new bait to my collection, what is your preference Believers or swim wizzes?
Which do you prefer 8" or 10"?
Jointed or Straight?
Color Pattern?
Which one for trolling?

thanks for any input

Ohhhh...I'm a Believer, I couldn't leave her, if I tried...sorry, the Monkeys were a major part of me life MANY years ago...dude--got me 2 Sledges today from R/H; one chartreuse/bl. dot, one orange/bl. dot weighted. They look like little Japanese lanterns, but obviously work well. I like a Believer in 8" straight model in Jailbird, Fire Tiger or $9.00 Barse. Others may agree or disagree...it matters not...what is important is what you like, whatever that may be. Take your time and dissect each future post; if possible, borrow some of each and spend the afternoon getting to know the baits; take your time, go have some lunch, then throw them some more. Experiment w/ each bait, recording the many different actions/reactions of the aforementioned, then study your results. That way perhaps you'll feel comfortable w/ whatever decision you will make when you finally make your choice. Once you have made your decision, don't look back...

Sponger,
Ketch1 and I threw our new Bananas for a while on Sunday. Fun bait to work.
Next weekend we are going to rent some monkey suits to get the full effect.

I like believers both straight and jointed. 10"ers can be deadly on top or just under the surface. Very versitile bait, has taken many a fish.

I too am a believer. Believers are my #1 trolling baits and I have to try real hard to talk myself into using something else. I like the 10" straight models in perch, strawberry, and jailbird. A very versatile lure - troll them on the deep eye down to 21 feet or on the shallow eye at 4 feet. They can also be deadly when twitched just under the surface. Don't be afraid to use the 10" model. I have caught fish as small as 30" on the 10. In fact, I would like to see a 12" or 13" model....Drifter Tackle Company, are you listening?

I've had good luck on all sizes of Believers. I believe the sizes are a little different from the Swim Whizzes. They are also easier to find. Don't forget about the 6" size. I've had good luck casting them with lighter tackle. I've had especially good luck with the 6" jointed model in rainbow colors. Not sure if that color is still available. Puts out great flash. I also sent some to Stan Durst and had them painted. Great flash & contrast in the water.
