I have to admit, I've never had much success in fishing a suick. I know that there are a ton of guys that have...a real "go to bait". I've been told, that there is no bad way to work a suick. I've been actually terrible, don't know if it wasn't tuned right or what, but have only slightly had a rise and fall action, ( basically a stick in the water). I guess what I'm asking is, what is the right way to work a suick in weed patches or, for that fact anywhere in general. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

My Dad used to bend the tail almost straight down and at an angle. He would keep the rod tip up, and rip it hard. It would make a commotion and dive a little. He would wait for it to surface and do it again. Basically working it like a twitch bait. He swore by this, and caught a lot of muskies this way. Might be something to try.

Check out the video section, Worrall has several videos, here's one from Mike Suick at the 2013 Spring Bay outing; http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/videos/08.20.2013/6307/Spring.Bay.R...

What I learned is that it isn't a lure you can just start using one day and hope for success. Took me years to realize this: Buy several, they all work differently. Some dance all over, some need tuning. Weighted are sure different than unweighted. Pulls, tugs, jerks get different results. Get confident in one or two, and spend hours with it before you just give up. Once you see it working right, you'll know what to do. The T-bone picture in Keith's blog is awesome.
