Reflective TapeI picked up some reflective tape at Walmart today. Essentially it's this but in small strips. I put it onto the side of a Jake, and it looks like it's going to be awesome for look - built in scaling and all. My concern is two fold:

 1) It's fairly thick and has an edge to it. I'm wondering if my clear coat epoxy should cover the edge well, and 

2) If I'm going to blend paint over it, as a novice, it seems to me that paint will not stick well to it. I'm wondering if I should put a light single layer of clear coat over it and lightly scuff so that the paint will stick better. That might also help with issue #1.

 Thoughts from the crew?

Location: Waconia,MN		Never painted over tape, but what i would try is to cover the bait and tape with a coat of epoxy. Scuff that and then paint, and finish with more epoxy.

The epoxy clear coat should also help knock down the edges of the tape.

Yup , put tape on , then clear until smooth , then paint , then final clear
