Location: Glen Ellyn Il | I made two four inch long bodies large bass lures for muskie, 1.5 inches diving lips a golden walleye and a bass pattern with 2/0 hooks. At times muskie like to eat small stuff. I also made couple big 10 inch bombers for some muskie hunter, will show the Walleye patern bait only

| Forgive my ignorance, but what is the action and how best to fish a bomber? I like the walleye. Does it fish in reverse? Not familiar with this type of bait. |

Location: Glen Ellyn Il | Hello mnmusky
The large 10 inch walleye pattern I built it for a customer and this bait you can cast troll it just like any other crankbait like a Ernie or Depth Raider. I build this mostly for trolling it can easly reach 40 feet, the diving lip is 2 inches wide by 2.5 inches long. The other two are mostly for casting and both baits have a nice side to side swing, they hunt, this is typical of a Bomber Bait. The Bass Pattern has a coffing type lip and this one really swings from side to side about 2 feet, not by design, I just got lucky. The old Bomber baits were designed to look like a crawdad scurring backward. I got the idea when my brother was catching huge bass on Lake Geneva Wi. I figured why not make them bigger and use them for musky. You can still buy the bass size Bomber on E-Bay, its a great bait. The all action is in the the design of the lip and the attitude angle of the bait the way it sits in the waterl. Also if you noticed the two smaller baits I reversed the lip on the body mount, now looks normal, not backward. The way I fish these bombers is I like to crank down hit rocks or tops of weeds the let them pause and kind flot back up, or just a steady retrieve. The action on these baits is fantastic
