I found this bait in my grandpa's tackle box years ago. Hooks look to be installed similar to a suick. Anyone have a clue what it is? Or is a basement special? Thanks

Might be a early version of the Fooler, although the front and back differs from all the old Fooler's I have. Hard to say for sure.

I looked up the Hi Fin Fooler online and it looks real similar. Maybe this is a real early version. This bait has be at least 20 years old. It has the "scooped" front which you see on allot of the HiFin baits. Thanks! I knew someone on this board would know!

The metal tail is unlike any I have seen on a Fooler , I suspect this could be a basement bait...made with elements of the Fooler design.

The scooped face is also quite different from the Fooler, it looks wider.

That or the early Foolers did have the unusual tail and different, wider face.

It's a Stan-A-Wah, made in Stevens Point in the 60s and 70s
2 sizes 7" and 9"
I have one of each.

Wow, you guys nailed it! We are from Stevens Point so that makes sense. Anyone know who Stan was?
