looks like one we hooked into on LSC a few years back we guessed it at 75# it looked a lot this one here. Had it on a heavy duty spinning rod with 50# line on it Hooked in the middle of the back with the back hook of a 9" grandma bait. Took some time to get in. Jeff Cashmann and I took turns fighting it in we didn't know what it was till we got it under the boat We got it in the net and the two of us got it in the boat as we had to get the hook out of it. Took some photos of it and back in the water. What a day that was we boated 8 muskies that day With two 52"er's and some high 40''s also . Marv.

At least that man is smart enough to be using a left handed bait caster! Kudos!

Snagged 5' sturgeon once while muskie fishing, what a "disappointment" I thought I have world record for sure

Amazing how it seemed to have shed all of its teeth and has evolved what appears to be a massive overbite with fleshy looking lips for what I suspect is near exclusive bottom feeding.. Oh, and that boney back armour has to be some type of adaptation to deter predators while it feeds.

I love muskie fishing, but when sturgeon season rolls around on the St Croix, I get as giddy as a school girl at a Justin Bieber concert.
