Fished all day last Friday in wind, constant rain and cooler temps. No fish - One Hit.

Saturday morning was cloudy and opened up to sunny skies around noon.
The fish below was 44 inches. We also had an absolute monster hooked but I thought was snagged on a submerged log. No rod action at all. we stopped the trolling motor to go back to the snag. I reeled for about 30 seconds, and all the sudden my buddy screamed "fish" and the fish came to the top and just spit the lure out. The fish was just hanging on to the lure and right before I set the hook, it spit it out. I think it was a good 15 seconds after the fish vanished before anyone in the boat said a word.

Nice fish. Which part of the lake were you fishing? I ask because the action on the west end seems dead and I've been told it will be until the water cools more. Meanwhile, long boat rides east.
