I will be leaving tomarrow morning early to prefish for the PMTT qualifier, is there any thing that I could use that someone is willing to share with me. I have not fished the water before but have done lots of homework with people that do, also people that have been fishing for two weeks already. The problem is they have not scored yet!! My partner has fished it before and I am comfident in his knowledge of the lake. I am always looking for that extra little thing that makes a average fisherman into a consistant producer. I am not to proud to ask for advice or tips. Any info at all would be greatly appreaciated. Post here, private message or e-mail me what you can. Thanks for your help. Mike Koepp-Team 61.

Mike is right about blue in the spring. Small works as well. More muskies are caught by bass anglers than musky guys, and not just because there are more of them either.

The lake is at normal winter pool right now (594.00 according to the ACE website http://mvs-wc.mvs.usace.army.mil/dresriv.html) though most will tell you it's "really low" or similar.

During winter pool and this time of year look for the schools of shad hanging out near the mouths of smaller bays and maybe on into the bays by this weekend.

Windblown shorline is good and even better if rip rap is to be found.

Me, I'll be fishing outside the boundary for you guys. Sorry 'bout that...
