Trying to find my way as a beginner in the Merrill area. I have been out on Lake Alexander a the past few weeks as it is close to home and easy to go out for a few hours after work. I am yet to move a fish after putting quite a few hours on the water. Any tips/areas to fish/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not an action stretch of the river, it hasn't been stocked since the 90's. Sticking with a section that is stocked would be my advice. Merrill to Brokaw, Lake Wausau, and flowages in Tomahawk.
