The championship is in my back yard and I got the chance to ride in a judge boat, would you go?

Yep! Bring a rod and bait too.

That might be a little to much, but I like the tought process. They've been chasing baits, the last couple of weeks. It should be good to see how many are caught.

Absolutely do it if you get the chance. I was a judge for the WMT one event and it was very interesting to see the patterns that were working. Obviously, you have to keep everything quiet about what you observe. Also note that you cannot fish muskies while judging. It would not be good to have someone see you catch a musky that they have been working. It can be a boring day without action but it gives you a chance to scan the lake for structure and waypoint if valuable. Go for it.

I don't know. To me, it sounds kind of boring. If I had the choice between fishing or judging, I'd rather be swinging some baits this time of year.

100% agree. Go slay some ski's on another lake. Way more fun than watching people catch your backyard musky's.

I would judge for sure. You can always fish tomorrow, but having the chance to see what all the best muskie fishermen catch, how they caught them and where they caught them could be invaluable.

I thought that the boat was going to be busy. It was raining when I got out there and it was perfect day for a busy judge boat. But it was slow in the morning, we didn't even get a call in the morning. Only 5 fish were registered and none on are section of the lake.
I think that I wouldn't do it again, I agree that if you're out there you might as well be throwing baits. I should of went to Okauchee. Good luck to all, I want to see a lot of fish caught, that's what I thought would happen.
I left at 1:00 and gave the boat "B" duties to Ron.
