Hi guys

I read another thread somewhere on the same subject, but the discussion involved spinnerbaits.

I'd like to use either of the two rods for 6" huddleston swimbaits and 5 - 6" swim jigs that weigh 1.5 - 2.5 ounces. Mostly I'll use a steady retrieve with small pops now and then to free the baits from hangups.

Do you reckon the 6 inches will do good or bad in terms of overall performance; all day comfort, casting distance, and control.

I use a 9 foot MH Predator for Heavier Swim Jigs and its Money so i would think the extra 6 for the Long Ranger would only be a better. Both awesome rods so you cannot make a bad choice; comes down to person preference...

If you don't fish tournaments that have rod length restrictions go with the Long Ranger. Better all around.

I ended up ordering the split grip Long Ranger as I got the same advice elsewhere too. Thanks for the replies. Can't wait to to launch some swimbaits with it
