WOW last week was great on the CAVE not only were the muskies almost easy the group of guys that MuskieFirst brought down here were awesome. Good fisherman and great to be around. The high hookset percentage of the traps made it look easy as the guys at Mountain Muskie Lodge flat out tore them up.
The MuskieFirst site is second to none, thanks Steve and Jason for continuing the fun after such terrible weather last year.
Also thanks to Crash and Justin for putting on a great meal at Comfort Inn.
A specail thanks to Morehead Department of Tourism for helping promote the finest muskie lake in North America.

How come nobody is thanking me for NOT showing up with a major cold front? Wish I could have made it. Sounds like everything went well, with the weather, fish, food, spirits, and MFer's all behaving.

Right on Tony.

It was a great trip.  Our Rat-L-Traps really tore them up....I don't know why the boys up North had such a hard time keeping fish on.

Mountain Muskie Lodge is a great place to stay if you're ever down at the Cave.  Tony is a hell of a guide.

Shep, if you had showed up even w/ a cold front like last year, that would have been ok too! The Discomfort was unbelievable for the price; I didn't want to leave the room! Unfortunately Crash and Worrall didn't get to fish much, thus killing us rookies chances!;) Justin did nail some fish though, just ask Murph, and his clients did well also. Another case of spending too much time eating Pay Days, jerky and Coke Colas. You missed Tonys famous grilling escapades and a bu++ kicking dinner by the Crashes Landing/Morehead Tourism group. Worrall is going to try to have next years scheduled dates w/in the month, so make sure you make plans early, and bring Landy too! No doubt both ends of the lake will full of excited peeps next year, and I hope to get at least one fish no matter what size. Actually, if I knew I wouldn't catch a fish, I'd still go for the fun, and I dare not miss Tonys' grill kill next year...make plans now!
