Bought a couple of Fuzzy's a week ago. Used one this weekend, highly reccomended for ease of use. I bought the medium size.

I have used the fuzzys since they came out. Very we'll made and great hook up percentage.

Try making your own. Use Flourocarbon with a salmon hook through the top of the nose and a separate flouro on a 4/0 or 5/0 hook. Stick the treble into the meat by the dorsal and hit it right away. Make sure the force of the hookset goes to the treble and not the salmon nose hook. No worries. Inexpensive and it's your work and skill that does it. Fun in the winter too.

I believe the needles and rubberbands and such are way overdone and too much trouble. But that's my opinion. Good luck either way.

Yup. What Gipper said. I've used a lot of pre-packaged quick set rigs over the years. Never really liked any of them. The Extreme One on Pewaukee Lake showed me his homemade rig and I loved it. I tweaked just a little bit about it and now tie my own up. Costs a fraction of a pre-packaged rig and works better. And it is really cool to catch fish on something that you made.

Just a quick word about Flouro sucker rigs. While I've used 80 lb flouro in the past with no issues, I now tie only 100 lb rigs. Hit 'em quick and have plenty of rigs on reserve in case your flouro gets nicked.

you use 100 lb fluoro on the hook section that would be on the sucker? I would highly recommend against that!
I use 175 lb 49 strand... i would never ever use fluoro for the part of the rig that would be most likely in the muskies mouth on a quick set.. bad things will happen on hookset.....

I concur, flouro in the mouth is a BAD idea, even if it is 130#. Just use tyable wire. Much better material choice.

Flouro to the sucker hook would make me nervous too. I've made a few up with a 150 fluoro leader that connects to 7 or 49 strand wire on the business end of the sucker hooks. The stranded wire leader nearly blends in to the side of the sucker anyway.
