| It was just a couple weeks back, SE Wisconsin water temps had only reached to 75 degrees and were falling.....I declared: No summer shut-off for 2014. Just before dark last night, I was fishing 77.5 water (in September!!) and was pondering a tournament that allows suckers on Pewaukee Lake just 9 days away and prediction of a ninety degree afternoon today. Yipes! Is more summer to come? Are we going to have fall or go right to ice? For me, suckers cost too much to let them die in warm water. Who thinks we'll have fall this year...and when? |

Location: Smith Creek | Indeed. We just got nailed with a bunch of frozen precip here in Price. Leaves (and trees) are coming down early this year. |

| I was fishing mid 70's water in Indiana in mid August, now we have a tourney on Shelbyville in a little over a week and the temps there are in the low 80's the first week of September. Gotta love midwest weather. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's Fall here. Got slammed by storms this morning, trees down across the road and I can't get to my favorite lake to fish so I'm sitting in an internet cafe because we have no power, phone, or internet back at the Hideout. |

Location: Not far enough north! | We've had low 80's for water temps since end of may down here. Good thing though is it never made it to the upper 80's this summer. Can't wait for the water to cool off so I can finally hit the water again. We need some nights in the 50's. I know Shelbyville was hovering in the upper 70's to around 80 but it's been hotter the last couple weeks then it's been all summer. |

| Pewaukee was basically 75 all over the lake on Saturday morning. Consensus between me and the guys at Smokey's was that seven more days of this weather just might take it down to 70 maybe....still too hot for suckers, depending on what you think. Don't think they are planning a stock of suckers till maybe a week from this Thursday...but I certainly can't speak for them. In any case, in my opinion it's still summer tactics out there. |
