Location: Elroy, Wisconsin | Anyone know how bad the bloom is? I was up the last week of August and there was bloom, but not too bad. Has it increased? About the same? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Location: Madison, WI | Just got back yesterday and one day was really green, but the wind and rain totally cleared it up after that. Fish just glowed in almost all areas we fished. |

| Depends on the wind. Last Saturday it was bad, then on Sunday it was good cause of the string winds. Totally expected a bad bloom this year wupith the amount of runoff due to the rain this spring. |

Location: Warroad, Mn | About as bad as I've seen it in the past five-six years. I actually seen worse at times. This won't go away anytime soon The wind is your friend!

| Towards the end of an 8 day trip it started getting very bad. Fishing was really good but the bloom was bad enough that a person has to be flexible. The area that was hot the day before may be unfishable today. |

| Yes, in this case the wind is your friend. We fished from the Angle up well past Wiley Point, and much of the water was thick with green algae. The wind blows the algae around so there is usually some water that is half way clear. However when the wind is calm the surface is as green as a well watered lawn, and the algae is very thick. Pretty ugly looking water that smells and is tough to fish. I hope it goes away this week, but it does not look like it will clear up soon. Fishing is very tough with fewer than normal numbers of follows, but some people are catching a few fish. |

| I'm up here now and on the east end. Staying in miles bay, had 3 up last night one this morning. Topwater rock points all islands no mainland. Miles bay wasn't too green, headed west of that still moderate going south then to sunset Chanel especially it's pea green soup and I mean GREEN in som spots. I'm sitting in saboskong bay now and it's real green here as well. More mixed on here further into water column. I wish the wind would pick up not a cloud in the sky no wind either. I guess I'll try trolling the breaks see how that does. Pm me if you have any advice or questions. I'm no pro but I can tell you how the water looks |
