| Now that the fun is over, I have had time to briefly reflect on the past few days, and struggle for words as tears trickle down me cheeks, knowing I must return to work tomorrow as well as labor under the firm hand of the Spongette...
- First of all, the trip FAR EXCEEDED all expectations; hard to believe one could have that much fun in 4 days!
- Each person, though different, was a blast to be around, and I'm blessed to have made many new friends.
- Don't judge a Mexican restaurant by its building; the one Raze and I ate at in Morehead was awsome, thanks to Crash sharing this special spot, we got royally stuffed at a price hard to believe!
- If you happen to see NormAL and Troyz sitting in a boat w/ a Sledge hanging off the rod, then by all means attack them and steal that bait!
- Throw away the doughballs; the aggressive nature of the carp at Cave Run calls for a crawdad Rattle Trap...just ask Artie!
- If your motel phone rings at daybreak and 1st6' calls, by all means do what he suggests; had I known DougJ was going to be there, I'd have had sacks of FRY ROCKETS delicacies at the ready...
- If Mikes Extreme asks you to fish, JUST DO IT!
- The term "son" is used more than "it, the, and, or but"...
- Though it appears Mikie and I are cursed w/ "no fish disease", feel not sorry for us, as we are able to enjoy ourselves even under the most adverse conditions, especially when other peeps are catching fish in front, behind, and both sides of us!
- Rattle Traps are a necessary evil, but that shouldn't stop you from taking a hammer to them when you are done fishing!!! Besides, Crash just got in a whole new batch!
- Raze is a modern day Einstein, and will know doubt be our next Vice President!
- EBAY NOTICE: me shirt from Saturday night will be on auction soon, so start saving saving now...
***All in all, it was a time I'll never forget; a special thanks to Worrall, Jason, Crash, Tony, Comfort Inn, the Morehead Tourism peeps, and ESPECIALLY Charley Thompson and others who suffered having me in their boat for the day; I feel fortunate for not having been shoved overboard, much less drowned or left on the bank to find me way back! I can honestly say I had one of the best times ever, and that a better group of peeps couldn't be found to be around. I laughed constantly, and hated like crazy for it to end; I wish we all could live in the same place!!! The world we live in is experiencing hard times, and get togethers such as these sure help one kick back and forget about our troubles; thanks again to each person who made this trip what it was! Location: Greenfield, WI | Sponge, you are so sentimental that I have tears running down my cheeks, and I wasn't even there!
It sounded just like a normal time with a bunch of muskie nuts...I hope to join you some year at the Cave!

Location: Illinois-Indiana | Oh Spongey One,
It was good to finally meet you, wish I could have shared a boat with you.
My only regret was not talking much with the other half (north side), next year I plan on bringing a half gallon and sitting with the north side crew for a while!!!!!!!:) | |

| Same here Ralphster! Was a great time for sure, and no doubt the lake will be crawling w/ more peeps next year. Good thing they built the Discomfort Inn, as many would end up in the campground for sure. W/ the additional crowds anticipated, "Operation Leapfrog" will be employed; the boats will line up, and as one boat catches a fish, the one behind it will pull around in front of it, and so on throughout the day. That way the OUTING can be conducted in an orderly fashion, and each boat will have a chance!;) | |
